VDE-AR-N 4110: Power feed-in to the medium-voltage grid
If you are planning to feed power into the medium-voltage grid with a decentralized generation plant (EZA), you cannot avoid the VDE-AR-N 4110.
Since April 27, 2019, this technical connection rule has been mandatory for the planning and construction, operation, and changes to customer systems of types B (135 kW ≤ PAmax ≤ 950 kW), type A (PAmax > 950 kW), and type C (individual verification procedure) and legally binding as a minimum standard. The target group of the guideline is primarily network and system operators as well as system and component manufacturers.
Requirements of VDE-AR-N 4110
In its current version, VDE-AR-N 4110 describes the following requirements and the basic verification procedure on 215 pages
- Technical requirements for systems (e.g., voltage levels, protective devices, measuring devices)
- Registration and connection of systems
- Operation and maintenance of systems
- Changes to systems
- Certification of systems
Based on VDE-AR-N 4110, MKH Greenergy Cert GmbH, as an accredited certification body, creates system certificates for all types of decentralized EZA.
